Data Communications Products
In October 2005, VITAL Network Services acquired the primary assets of Sync Research and Rixon Networks. Operated as wholly-owened subsidiaries of Entrada Networks, Sync Research and Rixon Networks manufactured and supplied frame relay access devices (FRADs), digital transmission devices (CSU/DSUs), frame relay access probes (FRAPs), network interface cards (NIC), and other network devices for OEM, VAR, system integration, carrier, and end user customers to provide access to and support transport within their networks. VITAL acquired these assets in an effort to continue the delivery of support for customers utilizing the Sync/Rixon products within their networks.
 

Frame Relay Products
VITAL is continuing to produce and support Sync Research’s award-winning FrameNode family of multiprotocol frame relay access device as well as the ConversionNode high-performance legacy-to-LAN conversion software. These products provide proven solutions for converging mission-critical SNA and client/server applications onto a frame relay or router-based WAN backbone.

Circuit Management Products
VITAL is continuing to produce and support Sync's portfolio of circuit management products designed to provide companies with tools to help them manage and maintain their frame relay networks.

The line of Frame Relay Access Probes (FRAPs) with circuit management technology are designed to be placed in strategic places around the network to act as data collection and network troubleshooting devices.

SNMP DSU/CSU Products
VITAL is continuing to produce and support Sync's TyLink family of multiservice, digital transmission products. These products support a wide array of leased-line and switched digital carrier services. The product portfolio includes 56/64 Kbps and T1/E1 DSU/CSUs, data/voice mulitplexers and Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) technology.

ROUTERmate Products
VITAL is continuing to produce and support Rixon Networks' ROUTERmate family of products were designed specifically for today's high-speed networking needs. The ROUTERmate family consists of a variety of high-quality, feature-rich yet affordable network access devices and routers. These products provide reliable, economical access to a multitude of public and private networks and flexible management facilities including console, dial-up modem, Telnet, and SNMP.

   
   
 
Network Management
VITAL will continue to offer Sync's GUI Network Management product, Envisage. Envisage is an integrated suite of applications that provides a complete tool kit to configure, monitor and troubleshoot your frame relay network. A powerful graphical interface-based solution, it leverages and extends the capabilities of FrameNode™, ConversionNode™, and Frame Relay Access Probes (Sync's FRAP™ family) embedded SNMP agents.
